Windstar Lines Motorcoach Operator – Job Description

Driving a motorcoach for Windstar Lines can be a lot of fun. Most times, groups are traveling with us because they are going somewhere fun, or just traveling for pleasure. This can put the operator in a position to truly enjoy a driving job while also being part of a group. A motorcoach driver will see and experience an entirely new world.

However, driving a motorcoach over the road carries a lot of responsibility. The lives of up to 57 people are in your hands. The mindset of a driver always has to be focusing on SAFETY. We carry all ages of people; senior citizens, middle age, and of course, children. Parents and family members trust that you are qualified and physically and mentally prepared for the job.

Driving a coach is not a typical job. Hours are irregular and the days are typically long. Work schedules are unpredictable and operators must be flexible. Operators are required to perform pre trip inspections, fuel, tidy up, and perform post trip inspections in addition to driving the motorcoach.

Some of our clients are senior citizen travel clubs, tour operators, small colleges, high schools, middle schools, business, families, and the government. We do many trips to casinos, ball games, theater events at the Civic Center, airport shuttles, local shuttling for conventions, ski trips, factory tours, and basically anything else you can think of. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We take people anywhere, anytime, as long as there is a road to it. We do not do bachelor parties or bar crawls. We do allow alcohol on trips within reason and we do get a deposit in this case. Most are for ballgame trips and we have never had anything get out of hand.

We are small, family owned and operated company. We are easy to work for and we value the services our employees provide. Windstar Lines has experienced a great deal of success since 1995 and it is due largely to the operators we have been able to hire and retain. Our operators are the only representation of our company during a trip. We select people we feel will represent us well.

We look forward to discussing your employment with our company further.
